If you have repeatedly said to yourself... “if only I could draw, I would create this image into a quilt”...this class is for you. The technique has many variables that are sometimes unpredictable which lends itself to unique results. This class teaches you how to find the “artist” hidden inside by giving you a few easy steps to follow that shows you how to draw an imperfect drawing that you will use as a quilt pattern. I believe every quilter is an artist. This class teaches you how to create quilts from your favorite images, such as photographs, kids drawing, postcards, etc., by following a series of steps using materials available at your local quilt shop. This technique... “lines into designs”, starts with a 4” x 6” image that you will create your quilt design from. Transform an image of your own choosing into a wonderful piece of art. This is a fun, and very forgiving quilting technique called... “design to free-motion line”. Class members can choose from two different patterns... either “Santa’s Special Delivery” or “Santa’s Christmas Boots”. Embellish with rubber stamps and rhinestones for a ”wonderful, sparkling holiday quilt”! Quilting level: all quilting levels are invited; some free-motion sewing skills are helpful. Lunch is provided by QIC. There is a homework assignment that needs to be done prior to this class. Class size is limited.
